1.
Food banks, the norm. Street beggars, the norm. Displaced people, the norm. No free speech, the norm. Elements of a second world determined to keep their crown. Low wages, the norm. Union destruction, the norm. Hypocrisy, the norm. Invasion, the norm. Compassion, the norm. Right to strike, the norm. Right to organise, the norm. Right to plan, the norm.
2.
Baby doll blue, you will always lose. Get your change right, to avoid a fight. Baby doll blues in the green tree café, she will make you laugh. A work of art to consolidate your heart, ready for the dart. Women in the pool of boredom, waiting for the 513. Elevator 1, elevator 2, elevator 3, it’s the baby doll blues and if you lose it’s the baby doll blues.
3.
State terrorism is all around it is in your town. State terrorism is all around it is in your town. Have you seen that black plane, high in the sky, it is beautiful, but why has my family, got to die? We can go where we want, bomb, torture, steal your oil. We can do what we want. People’s power is all the rage. Create a party for our age. Tear down, tear down their flag.
4.
Have your say, anyway. Are you going to pay. Are you going to fight. Are you going, no way. No way, anyway, take control, no dole.
5.
New green leaves are growing on the trees. It’s about time we got what we please. The sun is shining, the weather is hot, it’s about time we got our lot. Prams beer shiny red faces, I want to go to different places. The beach, the country the open air, wherever it is, I don’t care. Watching the kids run into the sea, straight back out and smiling at me. Throwing stones seeing them skim, putting on shorts and going for a swim. Laying on your back looking at the sky, watching those wispy clouds roll by. Listening to the birds as they sing, hearing those old church bells ring.
6.
I don’t like this and I don’t like that. I don’t like you in your new Cadillac. Do you want to shout and scream? Do you want an ice cream? Do you know what you want, do you know how to get it?
7.
Staggering down the street, looking at my feet, can’t see straight, watch that lamp post mate. Water in the gutter can’t stop this stutter. Cloths all damp. I think I’ve got cramp. The world is spinning, the world is spinning, the world is spinning. Bright lights in my eyes, the smell of meat pies. People all talking, asking me to keep walking. Cold metal in my hands, I’m back in the land. I think I’ll go to bed to rest my weary head.
8.
The Union Jack, the union Jack, Jack the union in. The union Jack, the union Jack, Jack the union in. The flag is flying the flag is lying Jack the union in. The flag is flying the flag is lying Jack the union in. Kids are playing in the streets; the dog has the ball. Running around all together the world in standing tall. It’s time it went they pay the rent, Jack the union in. It’s time it went they pay the rent, Jack the union in.
9.
Stan (Live) 04:07
Stan, Stan, Stan the gangster man, plays all day because he can. Stan, Stan, Stan the gangster man, pay him well because you can. Big black cars come every week, delivering their little treats. All the punters come around getting their stuff and going to town. Stan, Stan, Stan does the talk, it goes wrong and he gets caught. Need more sales to be the best or we’ll lay you to rest. Lost his family rather sadly, now his life is going badly. Growing dope in the house next door, I think I’ll go around and get some more.
10.
Cuts cuts hurt my guts. Cuts cuts aren’t for me. Cuts cuts can’t hurt me, I’m on top of the tree. O, what’s going on? O, what’s going on? O, what’s going on? O, what’s going on? We have the power in our hands, 10 pound an hour is our demand. We will chattel you with our laws, keep you in doors. We create all the wealth; we will put you on the shelf. No longer will we live in fear. Get organised my dear. We have the power in our hands, 10 pounds our demand. You’ll not chattel us anymore. We are the raising raw.
11.
Looks like the world has gone to hell, I might be going there as well. But while you’re lying next to me, I’ll keep my faith in technology. I search for something I can show to all the people that I know. Their must be something I can find, to change at least somebodies’ mind. Woo! Woo! Woo! Woo! All the best have left the floor, the worst are pushed as never before. But whilst you’re lying next to me, I’ll keep my faith in technology. I search for something I can show to all the people that I know. But there is nothing I can find that will change any bodies mind. They feed the rich, rob the poor and are not shy about it anymore. But whilst you’re lying next to me I’ll keep my faith in technology. I search for something I can show to all the people that I know. It’s all I ever seem to do when I’m not lying next to you!
